There are countless reasons to visit Mallorca , after all the islands offer a wide and varied experience by farmhouses and country hotels. Alcúdia is an extraordinary destination. Its natural areas are one of the most important elements that make this area so attractive. Its small peninsula offers a unique landscape diversity: sandy beaches, coves, mountains, wet lands... all with the deep blue colour typical of the Mediterranean Sea as a background. All this, along with the pleasant temperatures that Alcúdia has all year long, make the practice of countless outdoor leisure and sport activities possible.
Andratx is a coastal municipality with small coves, big cliffs and four islets, among which it is important to highlight the island of Sa Dragonera, since it was declared as Natural Park in 1995. In this municipality there are the population centres of Andratx, S’Arracó and Sa Coma, while Port d’Andratx, Sant Elm and Camp de Mar are located on the coast.
Cala d’Or is a coastal region that stretches along 5 kilometres and has a dozen coves, which are mainly sand beaches. The first hotel of the area was built here in the 30s. This hotel is still operational and in very good conditions bearing in mind that is one of the oldest hotels in Mallorca.
Cala Figuera is an emblematic sport that inspires many artists that have been able to capture its light and its sea character. Both Cala Figuera and Cala Santanyí give name to the small hotel association in this comarca, with 20 associates. In Cala Figuera, the hotels and apartments have 1427 beds available.
Cala Major is a residential strip, half urban, half tourist. It is located in the vicinity of Palma, just 6 km away from the city centre. Cala Major has the honour of including the Marivent Palace, the summer residence of the Spanish Royal Family.
With a length of over 2 km and an average width of 50 m, the beach of Cala Millor has fine and clean sand. Its beauty, its blue and transparent waters, its modern infrastructure and the meticulous maintenance carried out by the two city councils that cover this area, have contributed to the fact that this beach has been awarded the European Blue Flag Certification.
Due to the tourist boom in Mallorca that took place in the 60s, a series of tourist areas were built along the coast of the municipality of Manacor. Such areas are known as Cales de Mallorca. The hotels in Cales de Mallorca developed around the finca of S’Hospitalet Vell, located near the beach of Cala Antena.
Can Picafort is located on the northwest coast of Mallorca, right in the centre of the Bay of Alcúdia, the biggest bay of the Balearic Islands, since it has a 17 km-long beach. To the east there are wooded natural areas with only two small villages. At this end of the bay there is Cap Ferrutx, a very wild and beautiful area with cliffs and pine tree forests that are very difficult to access by car. The only way to get there is by boat or on foot.
Capdepera and the tourist areas of Cala Ratjada, Font de Sa Cala, Canyamel and Cala Mesquida are a gift of nature where the sea flavour of its tourist areas and a beautiful landscape combine wisely. Its beaches, being Cala Agulla the most famous one, are praised for the quality of their sand and the crystalline waters.
The tourists that go to Sa Colònia de Sant Jordi love nature, water sports, excursions, the beach, fishing, gastronomy and even the parties under the moonlight. However, Sa Colònia de Sant Jordi is also the favourite summer resort among the people from the municipalities of Ses Salines, Campos, Llucmajor and even Palma. All this stamps a unique and special character on this area.
Illetes is a residential holiday resort very close to Palma. It has an exclusive first-class hotel infrastructure and for that reason, the hotels in Illetes are the favourite destination for many companies when it comes to business and rewards trips.
Situated near the Mediterranean Sea, the city of Palma is the capital of the island of Mallorca and of the Autonomous Region of the Balearic Islands. It is located in a bay, which makes this city one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
Palmanova-Magaluf, in the municipality of Calvià, houses one of the most diverse and vast tourist areas in Mallorca, since it has 32000 beds divided into hotels and tourist apartments.
Peguera means “pitch oven”, as this product was manufactured here with the pine resin. In the past, the almond harvest used to be loaded in Peguera and taken to the ports in the Peninsula. Moreover, Peguera is one of the pioneering tourist areas in Mallorca.
Platja de Palma is located between the municipalities of Palma and Llucmajor. Its hotels have a beach with a total length of 4600 m and an average width of 50 m. It is equipped with all kind of services and is influenced by the city, although it still preserves its natural charm.

Port de Pollença is one of the main tourist enclaves in Mallorca and the second population centre of the municipality. In its stunning bay there is La Fortalesa (The Fortress), sheltered by Punta de l’Avançada. It was built in 1624. Today, La Fortalesa is of private property. Here, you can also find the mythical paradise of Formentor, the beautiful coves that mark both sides of the coast and a game hunting reserve.
In honour of the old “portals”, this place was given the name of Portals Nous (“New Portals”). Here, you can find an oratory with the figure of Our Lady of Portals. Just a few metres from the oratory, there is a beach that bears the same name and which has been awarded the European Blue Flag Certification.
Natural refuge for all seafarers in the Mediterranean, Porto Colom is one of the largest natural ports in Mallorca. Located just 11 km from the town where it belongs (Felanitx) and 60 km from Palma, Porto Colom is currently one of the most picturesque redoubts on the island.
Porto Cristo is the harbour of the town of Manacor, the second most important one in Mallorca. Two typical elements of this area include the restaurants with a sea flavour and the beach, hidden between cliffs and perfectly integrated into the municipality.
Santa Ponça is a holiday resort located on the southwest coast of Mallorca, within the municipality of Calvià. It is an area suitable for all age groups, with a wide diversity of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés, apart from the nearby tourist attractions, such as the water parks and everything that the island of Mallorca offers to its visitors.
S'Illot is one of the holiday resorts on the east coast of Mallorca, which became active in the 60s due to the tourist boom on the island. It is an emblematic spot that stands out for its singular beauty and its historical heritage. Apart from the tourist, leisure and accommodation options, this area also has important archaeological sites, such as the remains of a Talaiotic settlement with big blocks of stone that used to be part of wall and which until today constitute the vestige of this important megalithic culture.
Land of enterprising and welcoming people, Sóller and its port are a very exciting place to visit. Here, you can enjoy a little natural treasure, which was very valued among the corsairs that used to sail the Mediterranean.
